Currently Ctrl+S (or Cmd+S on Mac) downloads the webpage instead of saving the post. This isn’t great.
Maybe some kind of autosave instead? I think that’s how it works for example with google docs.
Requirements to trigger the save could be:
Change of the content AND 5s / 10s debounce
The issue with this is saving an already published piece will make that content go live, so we don’t want something that is still being edited to automatically get published.
Cmd (or Ctrl) + S will now save the post. If the post has already been published, those changes will save on the published post. If the post is still in draft, then the post will save as a draft.
In a nutshell: Cmd + S will save the post content in whichever state the post currently is (published/unpublished).
