Navigate to edit page from the view page#133

Right now the editing and viewing is seperate. If I want to make changes to the page I am viewing I need to go back the the dashboard and find the post and change it. It breaks the flow.

Is there a way we can directly navigate to edit page from the view page?

very useful when you spot spelling mistakes while browsing your website.

If you log into your blog on your subdomain/custom domain by going to your-subdomain.bearblog.dev/dashboard you will notice a little grey pencil icon when looking at your blog that does exactly this :)

Not working for me.

1. If I log in using https://bearblog.dev, there is no little grey pencil.
   I have to log in using https://mdalves.bearblog.dev/dashboard instead, then I see the grey pencil on top/right of the screen.
2. While browsing a post, when I click on the pencil it goes to a new blank post and does not open the current post for editing; the link it uses does not match the internal post link. For instance: pencil link is “https://mdalves.bearblog.dev/dashboard/posts/mdalvescom-foi-sequestrado/" but internal dashboard post link is “https://mdalves.bearblog.dev/dashboard/posts/noHhDYMVyQvMkUaBrfrW/".

Ah, sorry about that. I recently updated the edit links and this one slipped by me. I’ve patched it and it should be working now

This might be broken again? Or I’m blind lol. I don’t see a grey pencil / edit button (I even Ctrl+F’d ‘edit’ in the page source and don’t see anything). 😅

@zants You explicitly need to be logged in on the domain you’re trying to edit from. Not just https://bearblog.dev but at your domain specifically. Eg: herman.bearblog.dev/dashboard or zants.bearblog.dev/dashboard or your custom domain
